DO YOU KNOW THIS DOG? was a project deriving from images found in Edinburgh College of Art's archive, of a unnamed dog playing the part of 'Toby' in a production of James Bridie's play Tobias and the Angel in 1956. It was concerned with the implications of a dog 'acting', our relationship with non-human animals and what 'reality' exists between species.

It took the form of an attempt to identify the dog pictured and a series of 'audition tapes' of different dogs playing the part of 'Toby'.
